Ink & Image is a student-led academic journal focusing on the history, theory, and criticism of art, architecture, and urban design.
Founded in 2008 by students and faculty of NYU's Art History Department, the journal offers a platform for undergraduates at NYU to engage in scholarly dialogue, offering fresh perspectives and original research that enrich the study of visual culture. Through its publications, the journal fosters intellectual growth and highlights the academic contributions of emerging voices in the field.
Ink & Image is collected by the New York Public Library, the Library of Congress, the Art Institute of Chicago, and the Getty Research Institute. The journal continues to benefit from the support of the Dean of the College of Arts and Science and the faculty in the Department of Art History.
